Africana

I've made 7 masks so far. "Africana" was the first one I made and it has the most complicated structure of all. It includes 13 layers of glue-soaked paper, 10 layer of chalk/rabbit glue mixture, a layer of linen canvas, acrylic ornament, gold leaf with bitumen patina, 6 layers of red shellac and a thick layer of wax imitating varnish. This mask is larger than human face and has primary decorative purpose.

Dimensions (lengthxwidthxdepth): 9x6x3'' / 23x15x7,5 cm
Price: $200
